Business Unit Description

MERC "Middle East Resourcing Center" Business Unit is the deparmtment responsible for supporting the operations for the Consulting Line of Service. The department focuses on multiple competencies such as Resourcing, Business Development, Talent Aqusition & Recruitment, Human Capital, Communications, and Central Finance. MERC Consulting team contributes in the achievements of the consulting line of service by providing the backend support required to delivere high end results to our clients.

Job Summary

Support in establishing and leading the Knowledge Management (KM) function for the Consulting Line of Service, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure a viable and value-adding service to the business. You will work on areas such as Knowledge Creation, Knowledge Capture & Documentation, Knowledge Processes in order to support the business with their requirments.

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

  • Identify the critical knowledge topics relevant to each BU and the LoS; integrate internal and external knowledge sources into a database/directory to create a repository of information
  • Support BU KM Champions in setting priorities and enable the creation of thought leadership artefacts in the LoS
  • Work to identify the knowledge assets critical to manage the consulting engagement lifecycle as relevant to the LoS and BUs.
  • Implement the KM Portal as the single platform to meet Consulting’s knowledge capture and documentation needs; ensure better user experience, search functionality and reporting functionality to track KM material uploads and downloads
  • Improve LoS adoption of available tools (including Connected Source) to motivate staff on their use
  • Define and enable standardised processes to create, collect, store and access KM material
  • Integrate clear and measurable KM KPIs as part of client staff appraisal process across all levels
  • Integrate a tracker for KM KPIs on management dashboards of practices and priority accounts
  • Drive production and regular updates of new KM material such as practice overviews, practice brochures, market overviews
  • Coordinate with BU KM Champions to discuss, prioritize and develop thought leadership artefacts

  • Clear and up-to-date understanding of the professional services business and processes to help facilitate the development and adoption of KM
  • Able to balance good discipline with flexibility to achieve goals efficiently while incorporating evolving levels of organizational knowledge

Educational Qualifications & Certifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in arelevant major with a preference for a Masters.
Years of Experience: 6 + years of experience preferably with a background in consulting.
