Our Deals practice helps organisations navigate complex transactions, from mergers and acquisitions to restructuring and strategic investments. We deliver insights and solutions that enable clients to create, protect, and realise value throughout the deal lifecycle.
Business Unit Overview
The Corporate Finance team provides advisory services across the full spectrum of M&A and investment transactions. We work with public and private sector clients to structure deals, raise capital, and deliver strategic outcomes that drive economic growth and transformation.
How You’ll Contribute
As a Senior Associate in Corporate Finance focused on the Public Sector, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Advise government ministries, public agencies, and state-owned enterprises on M&A and investment transactions
- Support the execution of acquisitions, disposals, mergers, joint ventures, and partnerships involving public entities
- Conduct sector-specific research and prepare market and benchmarking analyses tailored to public-sector dynamics
- Build and review financial models and valuation analyses (DCF, precedent transactions, public comps) to support strategic recommendations
- Assist in preparing marketing materials such as teasers, confidential information memoranda, and management presentations
- Coordinate due diligence, investor engagement, and transaction execution activities to meet deadlines
- Prepare internal and external reports and maintain accurate documentation throughout the deal lifecycle
- Contribute to business development initiatives and help identify opportunities with new and existing clients
- Develop strong internal relationships and enhance your PwC brand
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field; a master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, ACCA) is preferred
- 3+ years of experience in M&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or valuation, ideally with exposure to public sector transactions
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with proficiency in valuation techniques
- Solid understanding of financial statements and transaction processes
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver high-quality outputs under pressure
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Arabic
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build client relationships
- Your flexibility to travel up to 20% of the time. This means we may require you to work away from your base office location on a regular basis and frequent overnight stays may be required. Where possible, we will take your preferences into account and strike a balance between meeting your career development/personal needs and those of the business and our clients
