How You’ll Contribute

As a Data Management Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues. You will support the delivery of the firm’s Data Management Office agenda across key areas including data quality, data governance, access and entitlement management, data discovery and catalogue-related initiatives, and day-to-day data management advisory requests.

 

The role will work closely with stakeholders across the business, Technology, Risk & Quality and other enabling functions to help embed data management requirements, support remediation and improvement initiatives, and ensure that data-related activities are managed in line with firm policies, standards and governance expectations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Support the delivery and ongoing development of the firm’s Data Quality programme, including coordinating assessments, tracking remediation actions, supporting business data owners and stewards, and preparing reporting and management information on data quality risks and improvements.
  • Support Access & Entitlement (A&E) activities, including reviewing and coordinating data access-related requests, supporting periodic access reviews, and working with relevant business and Technology stakeholders to ensure appropriate ownership and controls are in place.
  • Support the rollout and ongoing use of Data Navigator / enterprise data catalogue capabilities, including coordinating with data owners and stewards, maintaining relevant data management information and helping drive adoption across the firm.
  • Manage and respond to day-to-day DMO requests and queries, including requests received through the DMO mailbox, providing practical guidance on data management requirements and coordinating with relevant subject matter experts where required.
  • Support the implementation and operationalisation of data governance frameworks, policies, standards and procedures across the Middle East firm.
  • Work with Data Owners and Data Stewards to clarify roles and responsibilities, support governance activities and help embed accountability for data within the business.
  • Support data-related risk, control, assurance and regulatory activities, including preparation of evidence, tracking of actions and remediation of identified gaps.
  • Coordinate across business functions and territories to support consistent implementation of data management requirements across the PwC Middle East firm.
  • Prepare dashboards, reports, presentations and other materials for DMO leadership and senior stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, issues and key decisions required.
  • Contribute to wider DMO initiatives across areas such as data strategy, data governance, data quality, data lifecycle, data classification and responsible data use, as priorities evolve.

What You’ll Bring

  • Approximately 3–7 years of relevant experience in data management, data governance, data quality, risk, controls, technology governance or a related discipline.
  • Good understanding of core data management concepts, including data governance, data quality, data ownership, metadata, access controls and data lifecycle management.
  • Experience supporting projects or programmes involving multiple business and Technology stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate policies and requirements into practical actions.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities, actions and stakeholder requests simultaneously.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at different levels of seniority.
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills, including experience preparing management updates, reports and presentations.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment across multiple countries and functions.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within a professional services, financial services, regulated or similarly complex organisation.
  • Exposure to data governance or catalogue tools such as Collibra or similar platforms.
  • Experience with data quality frameworks, assessments or remediation programmes.
  • Familiarity with access governance, entitlement reviews or identity and access management processes.
  • Experience working within a Risk & Quality, compliance, governance or control function.
