Business Unit Overview

The Financial Crime team within Forensics provides a wide range of advisory services to banking and financial institutions across the region. Our offerings include financial crime technology enablement, anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorism financing (CFT), sanctions compliance and fraud prevention. We help clients define risk appetites, develop frameworks, conduct AML reviews, and align systems with regulatory expectations. 

How You’ll Contribute

As a Financial Crime Intelligence & Data Analytics Senior Consultant , you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Build and continuously enhance dashboards and monitoring tools to support clients with data-driven decision-making and mitigating financial crime risks.
• Work on mule account detection models to identify suspicious behaviors.
• Conduct network analytics to detect potential fraudulent activities.
• Support clients with monitoring KRIs and KPIs
• Leverage detection models to strengthen risk identification frameworks and adapt to evolving threats.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end data analytics solutions.  
• Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior stakeholders and regulators.
• Coach and mentor junior team members.     

What You’ll Bring

• 3 to 4 years of experience working with ETL processes using Python, SQL, or Alteryx.
• Demonstrated ability to develop dashboards in Power BI or tableau.
• Previous experience in financial crime compliance, AML/CTF, risk or within the financial sector is highly preferred.
• Experience working with big data and machine learning models is good to have.
• Middle East experience is highly desired, particularly towards the latter part of the career
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or other related major required.
• Excellent English and Arabic skills (verbal and written), particularly ability to articulate concepts and recommendations in written form (PowerPoint reports, charts, etc.) is a must.
• Excellent organisational skills, and able to cope well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• The ability and willingness to travel within the Middle East region, as per project requirements
• Have a mindset to anticipate client needs, as well as identify new opportunities to support our clients in executing their strategies
