Business Unit Overview

The AI Centre of Excellence (AI CoE), is PwC Middle East’s central engine for AI strategy, product build, and scale: it governs standards and cost/risk controls, runs the AI Factory squads to design and ship custom AI solutions and reusable frameworks (LLM/RAG stacks, integrations on Azure), provides technical consultation (architecture, solution design, best practices), and drives workforce transformation through training and upskilling to accelerate adoption across lines of service; operating within IFS, the CoE partners with Experience Design and adjacent tech teams, follows a codified operating model and RACI for approvals and observability and supports proposals, demos and delivery with a focus on distinctive outcomes and trusted leadership. 

How You’ll Contribute

As an AI Tech Product Owner, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  

• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for AI solutions, from discovery and ideation to launch and iteration in alignment with product managers 
• Own and manage a product’s backlog for AI solutions, ensuring clear prioritizing alignment with business value 
• Translate product vision and high-level requirements into detailed user stores, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications 
• Work closely with AI engineers, data scientists and designers during sprint planning, refinements and reviews 
• Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and the development team 
• Ensure features are clearly defines, testable and aligned with AI solution constrains (data, models, performance, governance) 
• Continuously refine and reprioritize backlog items based on stakeholder feedback, performance data, and evolving priorities 
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, demos) 
• Validate deliverables against acceptance criteria and ensure readiness for release 
• Support UAT processes and ensure business sign-off 
• Track feature-level KPIs and support performance monitoring post-launch 
• Ensure responsible AI principles, data governance, and compliance requirements are embedded in user stories 
• Facilitate clear communication across business and technical teams to remove blockers and ensure delivery momentum 
• Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement within the squad 

What You’ll Bring

• 3-5 years of experience as a product owner, or business analyst in tech or in an AI products/projects, preferably in a consulting or enterprise environment  
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional technology teams 
• AI technical savvy with a strong ability to build custom agents or vibe code to support in product definition and ideation 
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, including model lifecycles, data dependencies and deployment considerations in the Middle East 
• Proven experience writing detailed user stories, managing backlogs, and defining acceptance criteria 
• Experience using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar backlog management platforms 
• Strong stakeholder engagement and requirement-gathering skills 
• Ability to balance technical constraints with business priorities 
• Analytical mindset with experience supporting KPI tracking and product performance measurement 
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and AI-enabled architectures 
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across multi-located and diverse teams 
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English. Arabic if preferred. 
• Travel Requirements: Your flexibility to travel 30% of the time. This means we may require you to work away from your base office location on a regular basis and frequent overnight stays may be required. Where possible, we will take your preferences into account and strike a balance between meeting your career development/personal needs and those of the business and our clients.
