At PwC, our people in tax services focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy. These individuals help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimise their tax positions.

Business Unit Overview

We are seeking a Medior Full-Stack Engineer to build and maintain secure digital products for Tax & Legal Services, including document workflows, compliance applications, internal platforms, and AI-enabled experiences.
You will own well-defined features and smaller workstreams from refinement through production, contributing across the stack while partnering with senior engineers on system-wide architecture and complex decisions.
The role spans frontend, backend APIs, integrations, data, and Azure deployment. You will work with AI engineers to turn LLM, RAG, search, and document-processing services into reliable, secure user workflows.

How You’ll Contribute

Programming
Strong proficiency in TypeScript / JavaScript, with hands-on experience using React / Next.js and Node.js with NestJS, Express, or similar frameworks. Working knowledge of Python / FastAPI is a strong plus for collaborating on AI services.
Frontend Engineering (Core Focus)
Hands-on experience building and maintaining modern web applications, including:
•    Component-based architecture and reusable UI components
•    Responsive, accessible interfaces and cross-browser compatibility
•    State management, server-state data fetching, and client-side caching
•    Forms, tables, dashboards, document review, and workflow-driven user experiences
•    Frontend performance, error handling, and basic observability
•    Unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using modern testing frameworks
Backend APIs & Integrations (Core Focus)
Practical experience designing and building backend services, including:
•    RESTful APIs, request validation, and clear service contracts
•    Authentication and authorisation using OAuth2 / JWT and Azure Entra ID
•    Role-based access control and awareness of multi-tenant application patterns
•    Integration with enterprise systems, AI services, and third-party APIs
•    Background jobs, queues, webhooks, file processing, and asynchronous workflows
•    Resilient error handling, logging, API versioning, and rate-limiting fundamentals
Data & Storage Systems
Experience with:
•    SQL and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL / Azure SQL and Cosmos DB
•    Data modelling, indexing, migrations, and transaction fundamentals
•    Object storage, caching, and secure file-handling patterns
•    Writing efficient data-access logic and maintaining data integrity
•    Document-heavy and metadata-rich applications

What You’ll Bring

•    Experience with modern UI frameworks and styling approaches such as Tailwind CSS
•    Experience building document-heavy applications, review workflows, or case management tools
•    Familiarity with Azure AI Search, Azure AI Document Intelligence, or similar services
•    Experience integrating with Databricks or other enterprise data platforms
•    Exposure to regulated industries such as Tax, Legal, or Financial Services
•    Experience building multilingual applications; Arabic and right-to-left interface support are strong pluses
•    Familiarity with UX practices and translating user needs into practical product decisions
