At PwC, our people in tax services focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy. These individuals help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimise their tax positions.

Business Unit Overview

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to build secure, scalable digital products for Tax & Legal Services, including document workflows, compliance applications, internal platforms, and AI-enabled user experiences.
This role requires high ownership. You will take products from concept to production and own architecture decisions, technology selection, and end-to-end delivery across frontend, backend, integrations, data, and cloud deployment.
The focus is production-grade web applications spanning frontend architecture, backend APIs, enterprise integration, and Azure deployment. You will work with AI engineers to turn LLM, RAG, and document-processing capabilities into intuitive, reliable, and secure workflows.

How You’ll Contribute

Programming
Advanced proficiency in TypeScript / JavaScript, with strong React / Next.js and Node.js experience using NestJS, Express, or similar frameworks. Working knowledge of Python / FastAPI is a must for collaborating on AI services.
Frontend Engineering (Core Focus)
Proven experience building production-grade web applications, including:
•    Component-based architecture and reusable design systems
•    Responsive, accessible interfaces and cross-browser compatibility
•    State management, server-state data fetching, and client-side caching
•    Complex forms, tables, dashboards, document review, and workflow-driven user experiences
•    Frontend performance optimisation, error handling, and observability
•    Unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using modern testing frameworks
Backend APIs & Integrations (Core Focus)
Strong experience designing and building backend services, including:
•    RESTful APIs and clear service contracts
•    Authentication and authorisation using OAuth2 / JWT and Azure Entra ID
•    Role-based access control and multi-tenant application patterns
•    Integration with enterprise systems, AI services, and third-party APIs
•    Background jobs, queues, webhooks, file processing, and asynchronous workflows
•    API versioning, validation, rate limiting, resilience, and error handling
Data & Storage Systems
Experience with:
•    SQL and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL / Azure SQL and Cosmos DB
•    Data modelling, indexing, migrations, and transaction management
•    Object storage, caching, and secure file-handling patterns
•    Designing efficient data access strategies and maintaining data integrity
•    Working with document-heavy and metadata-rich applications

What You’ll Bring

•    Experience with modern UI frameworks and styling approaches such as Tailwind CSS
•    Experience building document-heavy applications, review workflows, or case management tools
•    Familiarity with Azure AI Search, Azure AI Document Intelligence, or similar services
•    Experience integrating with Databricks or other enterprise data platforms
•    Prior experience in regulated industries (Tax, Legal, Financial Services)
•    Experience building multilingual applications; Arabic and right-to-left interface support are strong pluses
•    Familiarity with UX practices and the ability to translate user needs into practical product decisions
