Business Unit Overview

PwC’s MERC Finance team plays a critical role in supporting internal financial operations across the Middle East region. The unit focuses on managing budgets, forecasting, reporting, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards. Professionals here leverage technology and data-driven insights to streamline processes, enhance accuracy, and enable strategic decision-making. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in accounting or finance who want to contribute to operational excellence and drive efficiency within a dynamic, collaborative environment. 

How You’ll Contribute

  • Lead and inspire a team of Associates and Senior Associates to deliver high-quality financial operations support to client teams. Collaborate proactively with Partners, client teams, and business leaders to ensure cost-effective, responsive FinOps services that adapt to evolving needs. 
  • Drive continuous improvement by reducing administrative burdens on client staff and streamlining processes. Engage with Finance, Resourcing, and Transformation teams to identify efficiencies and lead service enhancement projects. 
  • Oversee accurate time management, resource planning, and headcount alignment with business forecasts. Ensure full compliance with policies, delivering outstanding client experiences while adapting quickly to regulatory changes. 
  • Contribute as a key member of the FinOps Management Team by sharing best practices, mentoring emerging leaders, and fostering an inclusive, development-focused team culture. 

What You’ll Bring

  • At least 3 years of experience in financial operations or finance management, including team leadership. Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on quality and client service. 
  • Solid knowledge of operational and financial reporting. Strong business acumen and experience collaborating with finance, HR, and client teams to align operations with strategy. 
  • Track record of driving change, improving workflows, and enhancing service delivery and cost efficiency. Excellent communication skills with confidence to handle sensitive conversations and influence at all levels. 
  • A proactive, solution-oriented leader comfortable working independently and collaboratively, committed to continuous learning. Experienced in recruitment, performance management, and talent development within an inclusive team environment. 
  • Fluent in English with willingness to travel regionally. Aligns with PwC’s global leadership values including leadership, technical and digital skills, business acumen, inclusivity, and relationship building.
