How You’ll Contribute
We are seeking a high-performing Manager to join our tax team in Bahrain. The role will focus on advising clients on Corporate Tax and Domestic Minimum Top-up Tax (DMTT) matters. You will work and support Senior Managers, Directors and Partners with multi-disciplinary engagement teams to deliver high-quality tax advisory and compliance services to a diverse portfolio of clients, including Bahrain and international corporate groups and private businesses. This role is pivotal in driving technical excellence, client relationship management, business development and people leadership within a fast-evolving tax landscape in Bahrain.
Key responsibilities
You will manage the end-to-end delivery of complex Corporate tax and DMTT engagements, acting as a day-to-day point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders. You will oversee Corporate tax and DMTT compliance and advisory projects, including Corporate tax and DMTT returns, group restructuring and business model optimization. You will prepare technical analyses, engagement deliverables, and client communications to ensure accuracy, practicality and alignment with regulatory requirements and firm quality standards.
You will interpret and apply Bahrain DMTT Law and Corporate tax law, regulations, guidance, free zone regimes, as well as relevant international tax principles and you will collaborate with colleagues across Indirect Tax, Legal, Deals, and Assurance to deliver integrated solutions.
You will play an active role in business development by identifying opportunities, shaping proposals, pricing and scoping engagements, and presenting to prospective clients. You will contribute to thought leadership, client alerts, and internal technical training, and help build eminence in the market on emerging tax topics. You will manage and mentor junior team members, conduct performance reviews, and foster an inclusive, high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement, innovation, and digital tools.
What You’ll Bring
- You have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, law, or a related discipline (an advanced degree and/or a professional qualification in Accounting or Law (e.g., Attorney, CTA, ADIT, CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent) will be an advantage).
- You bring 4–6 years of progressive Corporate tax experience in a professional services firm, with at least 2–3 years at an assistant manager/manager level leading teams and engagements.
- You have strong technical knowledge of Corporate tax legislation and implementing guidance, with practical experience in Corporate tax compliance and advisory (knowledge and experience in UAE Corporate tax and DMTT will be an advantage).
