Programme Overview
Join our Emerging Technology Lab as an Intern, where you will have a unique opportunity to learn about and help shape the future of technology at PwC. You will work alongside experienced professionals to explore how emerging technologies can solve real business challenges for our clients. Through hands-on projects, mentorship, and collaboration, you will gain practical skills and insight into how we identify, prioritize, and implement innovative solutions.
Our Summer Internship programme is designed for students entering their final year of studies and provides an opportunity to gain experience over six to eight weeks between June and August. This programme is offered in Doha, Amman, Riyadh, and Cairo.
How You’ll Contribute
- As an Intern or CO-OP, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Assist in ideation and brainstorming of potential prototypes to address PwC’s emerging challenges.
- Support research on emerging technologies relevant to PwC’s industry.
- Help evaluate the potential impact of new technologies on PwC’s business model.
- Contribute ideas for innovation and emerging technology adoption.
- Assist in planning project phases and timelines under the guidance of senior team members.
- Track and follow up on prototype development milestones to ensure timely delivery.
- Identify and communicate potential issues or risks to supervisors for resolution.
- Provide updates on project status to stakeholders, team members, and lab leads as needed.
- Learn and develop skills in front-end web development, databases, and version control (Git).
- Work with React or Next.js, as well as Tailwind CSS, under the supervision of senior developers.
- Gain exposure to emerging technology tools (e.g., programmatic use of LLMs, machine learning, computer vision) as opportunities arise.
- Assist with documentation of prototype development processes, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Help maintain accurate records of project timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Support the generation of reports and insights from prototype data for the team and clients.
- Help set up prototypes in the lab and ensure the space is organized for client visits.
- Collaborate with the team to address prototyping challenges and brainstorm new ideas.
- Provide basic technical support to team members and interns working on their own prototypes.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, team members, and external clients.
- Contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the lab.
- Adhere to best practices and standards for emerging technology development as established by the team.
What You’ll Bring
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in a STEM or technology related field.
- On track to achieve a GPA of 3.3/4 or equivalent in your undergraduate degree.
- Strong academic performance and eagerness to learn.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic understanding of AI principles and willingness to develop technical knowledge.
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
- Eligibility to work in the country you are applying to as a national, permanent resident or student visa holder.
