Business Unit Description

Some of the finance & accounting consulting services that PwC offers include Accounting Advisory, Finance Transformation, Economics & Sustainability, Asset Lifecycle Management and Valuation (“ALMV”), Government Reporting, and shift SAP. Organizational Unit Description

Within our Asset Lifecycle Management and Valuation (ALM&V) practice we focus on asset-intensive organizations, and large scale improvement programs of asset performance and cost reduction. We help our clients transform their asset management via creation and reconstruction of Fixed Asset Register, valuations, capital expenditure  optimizations, policies and procedures covering the accountin​g and operational asset life cycle. We assist clients through the end-to-end process of planning, designing, procuring, constructing/implementing, commissioning and decommissioning Assets.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Senior Consultant, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.

You will be primarily based in our Riyadh office, serving our local clients, but also working with colleagues in all Saudi Arabia as well as within the Middle Region.

 

Skills and Prior Experience

Critical Competencies:

  • Consulting experience in large scale asset management projects driven by one or more from the following

  • Cash to accrual conversion of public sector entities in KSA as per the requirements of the Ministry of Finance

  • Assets and Facilities Management as per the National Manual issued by Expro

  • Asset carve out and transfers

  • Other asset management transformation initiatives such as building asset management functions and implementation of ISO55000 processes and Enterprise Asset Management IT systems

 

Preferable Competencies (added benefits):

  • Fixed asset data analytics including data collection, reconciliations, classifications and financial analysis utilizing advanced data analytics packages

  • Experience implementing International Financial Reporting Standards and/or International Public Accounting Standards with specific focus on property, plant and equipment, impairment of assets, and fair value measurement

  • Applying valuation approaches and methods to develop valuation models, including: gathering cost and market information, data analysis, financial modelling and report writing.

  • Performing maturity assessment and benchmarking of assets and facilities management following standards such as ISO 55000, 41001

  • Experience in development of strategies, target operating models, roles and responsibilities, policies, plans and procedure manuals, and all associated frameworks, models and tools for assets and facilities management

  • Experience in digital solutions for fixed asset accounting and management including more specialized asset management systems such as IBM Maximo and ArcGIS

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English and Arabic

 

Other Skills/Competencies:

  • Strong passion for client service delivery and collaborative team work

  • Excellent organisational skills, having the ability to prioritise workload whilst being resilient and being able to cope well under pressure and meeting tight deadlines

  • The ability and willingness to travel within the Middle East and worldwide where the project dictates

  • Keep up to date with current trends from the region and from across the world

 

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant subject areas such as Accounting or Engineering

Preferably a Master's to combine technical and financial qualifications

 

Qualifications

The degree can be complemented with completed or progress towards a further relevant professional qualification such as

 CPA,  ACCA, CFA etc.

IAM, ISO 55000 certifications

RICS, ASA or Taqeem

 

 Experience

 5+ years of relevant experience in assets management consulting
