This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Government and Public Sector Business Unit and be part of the Economic Competitiveness team, where you will play a key role in developing and delivering solutions to clients in the Government and Public Sector in the Middle East with a focus on Trade & Investment. We pride ourselves on building long-lasting relationships with companies and organizations, always ensuring that we are able to bring the best insights and solutions to help them tackle critical issues they may face. You will be exposed to the PwC proprietary methodologies and tools built from experiences of numerous prior engagements and leading practices, to enable you to efficiently and effectively deliver to our clients in a timely and reliable manner.

 

Responsibilities:

 

As a Senior Manager or a Director, you'll be leading a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

 

  • Develop and advance the Trade & Investment team as part of Economic Competitiveness within the Government and Public sector.
  • Continuously expand on knowledge of the investor ecosystem and business environment and work with colleagues in all Middle Eastern offices on client work and internal initiatives as well as with international teams where appropriate.
  • Manage strategy development and execution, as well as managing projects that contribute to investment promotion and attraction efforts in line with national transformation agendas.
  • Lead and deliver large, complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative solutions for Public Sector entities, helping them restructure the enhance their investor value proposition and competitiveness within the market.
  • Demonstrate awareness of international affairs and demonstrate knowledge of key global and regional policy priorities and investment trends
  • Implement and oversee the quality of deliverables, effectively manage the functional and technical team, support functional tracks of the transformation and relationships to ensure exceptional performance.
  • Manage and lead the development and presentation of large-scale proposals for business development activities to grow the Economic Competitiveness practice.
  • Lead the engagement economics as part of consulting projects, including commercial negotiations, contract evaluations, and procurement process management

 

Requirements:

 

  • Proven experience in a Consulting environment working closely with public sector clients with a focus on Trade & Investment
  • Previous experience working with an IPA or Investment Office is preferred.
  • Mandatory experience in the Middle East region and profound knowledge of the GCC market
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written), Arabic speaking preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant major with a preference for a Masters and/or PhD
  • Years of Experience: 8 to 10 years of professional experience, 4 of which are in a leading Top Tier Consulting firm.
  • Team leader and innovative thinker with entrepreneurial spirit
  • Previous exposure to engaging with high-level government officials and proven experience in business development.
