Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead and deliver enterprise architecture engagements across public and private sector clients, shaping target-state architectures and transformation roadmaps that enable business strategy and digital transformation outcomes.
This role requires an individual who can bridge executive strategy with technology execution, establishing pragmatic architecture governance, standards, and reference architectures while guiding programmes from vision through delivery assurance.
Define enterprise-wide target architectures and translate them into actionable roadmaps and investment plans.
Lead architecture governance and design assurance to ensure delivery alignment to standards, principles, and non-functional requirements.
Collaborate with senior stakeholders to prioritize initiatives, rationalize portfolios, and optimize technology spend while improving agility and resilience.
The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, programme directors, delivery teams, and third-party vendors to align decisions across business, product, and technology domains, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and fit for purpose.
Roles & Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture Strategy & Target State: Lead the definition of enterprise target-state architectures aligned to business strategy, operating model, and digital transformation priorities. Architecture Governance & Standards: Establish and run architecture governance, principles, standards, and reference architectures; provide decision support and ensure compliance across delivery. Business and IT Alignment: Translate business capabilities and value streams into architecture requirements, ensuring traceability from strategy to initiatives, solutions, and benefits.
Domain Architecture Leadership: Guide domain architectures based on the candidate overall experience and exposure such as: business, data, application, integration, technology, and security architecture domains, and ensure coherence across the enterprise and programmes. Roadmaps, Portfolio Planning & Prioritization: Develop multi-year roadmaps, sequencing, and investment cases; support portfolio rationalization, spend efficiency, and cost optimization.
Solution Design Assurance: Provide oversight and assurance for solution designs to meet functional and non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, availability, resilience, and maintainability).
Technology Evaluation & Emerging Trends: Assess emerging technologies and vendor offerings; lead technology selection, proof-of-concepts, and reference implementations where applicable. Design EA offices operating models and framework: Proven experience in establishing enterprise architecture capability within organizations, design EA framework and content meta-model, along with the ability to design EA governance models that are agile and aligned with EA strategic priorities within any organization
Educational Qualifications & Certifications
Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Information Technology, or a related discipline. Candidates from other backgrounds may be considered with demonstrable enterprise architecture and technology consulting experience.
Certifications: TOGAF (or equivalent EA certification) is strongly preferred. Additional certifications such as ArchiMate, cloud architecture (AWS/Azure/GCP), ITIL/COBIT, security (e.g., CISSP/CCSP), and project management (PMP/PRINCE2) are advantageous.
Work Experience
Consulting Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a consulting or advisory environment delivering enterprise architecture, technology strategy, or large-scale transformation engagements.
Architecture Experience: Typically, 3+ years in enterprise, domain, or solution architecture with demonstrated ownership of target-state design and roadmap development.
Transformation Programmes: Experience working on complex, multi-vendor digital transformation programmes
Portfolio & Financial Management: Track record in IT portfolio planning, technology rationalization, spend efficiency, and cost optimization.
